This is Robin’s fourth electric car, he’s owned the Mustang Mach-E from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and he achieves 270 miles from a full charge.

- Rear brakes replaced
- software faults not fixed
- potential traction battery contactor fault (not experienced).
What are the standout technological features of the car?
The main tech features are the same as you would expect to find in an EV at this cost. I would not say any are particularly outstanding.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?
Won’t buy another car for 3 years and the tech will have moved forward by then. My next car probably does not exist yet.
Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements
Chargemaster (POLAR) installed in 2012 – 10 years old now with no faults but lacks a phone app.
Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements
Intelligent Octopus Go provides 6 hours at 7.6p but does not always charge to 80% reliably.

I’ve run an EV for so long (10 years) I can’t really compare ICE running costs but EV service costs, road tax and fuel are a fraction of the cost running an ICE car. Fuel cost for me is about 2p per mile, I’m guessing ICE fuel is maybe 20p per mile!
