Peugeot e-208 2022 electric car owner review (Romania)

Ionut Trufin drives a Peugeot e-208 50kWh 2022 electric car.

This is Ionut’s first electric car, he’s owned the Peugeot e-208 from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 0-500 miles and he achieves 170 miles range from a full charge.

 

Why did you choose the Peugeot e-208?

It was available without ordering at the dealer.

Android Auto has taken me through a number of connection cables before finding one that works.

 

What are the standout technological features of the car?

Heating pump, albeit not that efficient.

I live in Romania so the current tariff might not be relevant. The one I have now is ~0.21 Euro cents per kW regardless of the hour you are charging.

 

Do you use public charging networks?

No

Price is higher than that of a petrol equivalent car.

  • Saving for servicing – 100 Euros per year
  • saving on fuel – 80 Euros per month
  • road tax is similar
  • annual tax is zero compared to 15 Euros
  • insurance is more expensive.
