Why did you choose this car?
We wanted an estate car with a decent boot for the dogs and enough range for weekends away. Also used daily for work, 50 mile round trip.

  • Performance
  • running costs
  • features.

 

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • Wipers (auto wipers a bit hit and miss)
  • door mirrors don’t clear very well with heated screen (water spotting, needs more overhang)
  • rear seats don’t fold flat
  • reversing camera lens tends to get dirty very quickly.

Performance away from a standing start and joining fast roads from slip roads.

 

What car are you interested in next and why?
Something with a much longer range and capable of towing a standard 1.5ton caravan.

 

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
EO Mini 7kW with solar charging sensor so charging can follow amount produced by solar panels. Bought a separate 10m type 2 lead so I can also use on destination chargers.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Currently on a standard Shell tariff, when this ends will look at overnight EV charging tariffs.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
I have only used Instavolt and Connected Kerb occasionally, usually charging at home or via 13A Granny charger at work.

 

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Direct Line currently, not had to try them for service.
