Vauxhall Mokka Electric 2023 owner review

Vauxhall Mokka Electric 2023 owner review

David R drives a Vauxhall Mokka Electric 2023.

This is  David’s first electric car, he’s owned the Mokka Electric from new and drives under 5,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 150 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Vauxhall Mokka Electric?

Sales pitch, a big mistake! The range of 208 miles is a joke. In Summer, the range is 160 which costs £30 a month & the range in winter is 70 miles at a cost of £70 a month.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car

  • Comfortable
  • quiet
  • ???

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • Boot too small
  • no interior roof light for rear seats
  • access to rear seats isn’t good.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Batteries are not the correct power unit for cars.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No

What are the standout technological features of the car?

LED headlights

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car

None

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

Range is a joke and the charging speed is a joke. The stupid number of different charging companies and apps is a joke also as well as all the different tariffs. An 8-hour journey is now 16 hours+.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Petrol for me soon.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Vauxhall Mokka Electric
