Nissan ARIYA 2023 electric car owner review

Nissan ARIYA 2023 electric car owner review

Alan drives a Nissan ARIYA Engage 87kWh 2023.

This is Alan’s second electric car, he’s owned the Nissan ARIYA from new and drives 10,000-15,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 0-500 miles and he achieves 300 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Nissan ARIYA?

I needed a car with a longer range to visit family in Cardiff from Fife, Scotland. My previous EV (Nissan LEAF) didn’t have the range for long distances, so I had a petrol car mainly for the journey south. Now I’m ICE free!

  • Build quality
  • range
  • interior space.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • None so far.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Far too soon to compare.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

None

What are the standout technological features of the car?

The software and screens are excellent.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car

  • Interior space is vast
  • high quality materials used inside.

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

Batteries only last five years and they easily go on fire.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

I’ve only had the car a month so far too soon!

Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements

bp chargemaster – I got it three years ago for my first EV. Although I’ve had no issues with the charger, the initial installation was problematic and took bp six weeks to rectify.

Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements

Octopus Go – no problems whatsoever.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Haven’t actually used public charging yet but will do very soon.

Insurer – outline both positive & negative elements

Tesco car insurance – I usually change my insurance yearly but Tesco have been consistently cheaper for the last three years and were very helpful when changing vehicles over.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Nissan ARIYA
