Why did you choose this electric car?
I got a very good lease deal!
Positives
- Comfortable
- efficient
- effortless.
Negatives
- Battery is too small
- range takes a hammering in winter
- maximum DC charging is quite slow.
Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
Been through a few tyres, would not recommend the eco-tyres that VW shipped the car with.
What are the standout tech features of the car?
Blended brakes are fantastic.
Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car
Can get over 5miles/kWh in summer.
What electric car are you interested in next and why?
Not sure, obvious replacement for the e-Golf should be it’s successor the ID.3 but I’ve had a couple of test drives and felt underwhelmed. Felt like a step back, except the battery size.
Home charging unit
EO Mini Pro – I’m on my third unit in less than three years. During this time it has always charged OK but the smart features keep breaking down. Don’t think I could recommend it.
