Why did you choose this car?
I liked the look of it.
Positives
- Feels fairly modern even though it’s older
- Easy handling.
- Fast charging on rapids.
Negatives
- Type 1 and CHAdeMO ports – would have preferred the newer and standard type 2 and CCS
- Performance in cold seems to drop
- The wheels are not the nicest looking.
Tell us something surprising about this car
Can get the sat nav system updated to handle Android Auto and Apple Car Play. A lot of others around this age don’t have that.
What car are you interested in next and why?
VW e-Golf or the newer Kia Soul, more range and nicer looking.
Home charging unit
Currently stuck with a standard 3pin socket. Wouldn’t recommend but it’s useable.
Electricity supplier & tariff
Standard tariff on Octopus. Would preferably go with Octopus Go where it’s cheaper at night.
What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Instavolt and Pod Point – simple and easy to use.
Insurer
Hastings Direct – as is it was the cheapest.
