We’ve been asking owners to tell us a fact or two others wouldn’t necessarily know about their EV.

So we thought we’d share some of the more interesting answers we’ve received to-date.

We had to start off with Natalie’s fact on her MINI Electric Cooper SE, we think this is brilliant.

‘The reviews have covered most things but one thing to note is how good the portable charger is that they give you. ‘It has some very bright puddle lights on the door which I didn’t know about and they look really cool. Shows a big CUPRA logo on the ground. The rear light bar and cluster look very cool a night, with the little BORN name badge inside the light itself. I don’t have it but would like to get the second floor for the boot. You can buy it separately later and fit it yourself relatively easily.’

‘If you use a feature in the sat nav, the car will automatically stretch out the battery over your outward and return journeys so you get the maximum mpg when in hybrid mode.’

‘The simple idea of a glove drawer instead of the usual glove box is genius. Not sure why I’ve never seen other manufacturers doing it as it’s far more useful.’

‘It has a retractable tow bar and a reversing feature that allows the car to be reversed under a tow bar before deploying the tow bar and will self hitch onto the caravan.’

‘There’s an umbrella stowage under the rear seat that fits a large umbrella with a hooked handle. There is an assignable multifunction button on the steering wheel that you can select short and long press functions. I have mine set to mute the radio on short press or turn off the screens on long press for less glare when driving at night.’

‘Utility mode – one of those things most electric cars have that are a complete revelation. You can sit in your car with heating on, heated seats on and infotainment on running off the main traction battery. I do this in winter while my son is at football training!’
