Peugeot e-2008: Public charging review

Smithy shares his experience of public charging with his Peugeot e-2008.

What do you think of the UK public charging network in general?

It’s great in London and the South East but as is normal in this country the rest of the UK has been starved of sufficient funding to bring equality of supply.

What and where are your favourite UK public chargers?

Any chargers that work and you don’t have to queue for!

What’s been your best experience with a UK public charger?

InstaVolt are my charger of choice, not because they are particularly cheap but because there seems to be plenty of them and they’re easy to use.

What’s been your worst experience with a UK public charger?

Any that are out of order or stop charging for no reason.

What’s got to change about public charging in the UK to get more people driving electric cars?

Infrastructure outside of London and the South East needs massive investment. There needs to be supercharger stations on all main motorway service stations where you currently have no choice but to queue due to the pathetic number of chargers.
