Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?
No issues with the battery, yes, range will drop in cold/ rainy/ dark mornings but precondition the battery before leaving and range will not drop so quickly when using the heating/ lights and wipers.
Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
Connectivity & GPS are the main faults, constantly doing a soft reset on the infotainment system or a TCAM (Telematics and Connectivity Antenna Module ) reset. Still have problems and Polestar customer services are not the quickest at resolving this.

Pixel lights are the best feature. I had laser lights on my previous BMW and I thought they were amazing but they are rubbish compared to pixel lights on the Polestar 2!
What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?
I have driven BMWs for over 10 years, had 4 in that time, each one an upgrade from the previous. Excellent cars, drive & performance; I’ve never had any issues with any and the customer service has been excellent. My next EV will probably be the i4 M50.
Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements
Ohme Home Pro – installed through Octopus and it’s ideal with the tariffs they have providing you have a smart meter.
Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements
I have been with Octopus for a good few years now, never had any issues with their service, enquiries or tariffs to choose from. They installed my smart meter when I joined, installed my home charger and I picked the tariff that best suits me, my home & EV.
Do you use public charging networks?
No
Insurer – outline both positive & negative elements
Aviva – no issues and similar price to ICE cars.
Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Polestar 2
My previous car was costing me almost £50 a month in tax and at least £50 a week in petrol and it was a Plug-in hybrid. I drive roughly 40-80 miles a day, my Polestar 2 costs me £0 in tax and about £2-£3 a day max. to charge. It’s also much better to drive and makes me smile every time I get in that driver’s seat.
