Why did you choose the Hyundai IONIQ 5?
We were interested in an electric car due to their eco credentials. We wanted to change our old petrol car for something that was better for the environment.

What are the standout technological features of the car?
The charging speed is amazing. At services with ultra rapid chargers we actually save time on journeys compared to our old petrol car (as it can charge whilst we take the kids into the bathroom).
Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car
Rear seats on rails that increase the size of the boot massively when we have lots of luggage to transport (but give the rear passengers tons of leg room normally)!
What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?
KIA EV9
Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements
Hypervolt 2.0 – the charger is great but the app isn’t, very glitchy and requires frequent restarts.
Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements
Octopus Go – perfect for EV owners!
What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?
GRIDSERVE at MOTO Rugby – 22 chargers and more for Teslas. Brilliant resource for long journeys (free softplay for the kids too).
