Nissan LEAF 2021 electric car owner review

Nissan LEAF 2021 electric car owner review

Stoorie’s mum drives a Nissan LEAF10 40kWh 2021.

This is Stoorie’s mum’s second electric car, she’s owned the Nissan LEAF from new and drives under 5,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and she achieves 160 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Nissan LEAF?

I love Nissan and their electric cars are very well designed and reliable. My car is a limited edition model made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the LEAF. It has lots of extra features and is very stylish outside and well appointed and comfortable inside.

Huge boot space, heated rear seats, e-pedal & LCD rear view mirror.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Nissan ARIYA – had a test drive and it was amazing.

Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements

Rolec charger – actually haven’t used it much but it’s simple to use & compact. The negative is the time it takes for a full charge so can be costly compared to local hub.

Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements

E.ON Next – don’t offer EV rates only standard. However, we only pay for what we use (variable dd). We also have solar panels but don’t get a special rate for these either.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

I only use local which are ChargePlace Scotland. Good local rates – 20p per kw.

Insurer – outline both positive & negative elements

Churchill – didn’t cost any more than an ICE car.
