Baird’s Broughshane – very busy now but great service.

How much did you pay for your unit and installation?

£1,500

Why did you purchase the EO Mini?

Recommended but expensive, relates to my wish to have in garage.

List 3 or more points that you like about the charging unit

  • Small
  • reliable- for a few years anyway
  • car does the clever stuff.

List 3 or more points that you don’t like about the charging unit

Needed to be replaced at 3 years though as there was a fault, probably in the circuit breaker which was also replaced. Otherwise, perfectly adequate for my simple needs.

Outline any faults you have experienced with the unit

Intermittent tripping during charge. Now resolved by replacement.

Tell us about your home charging routine

Approx. 500-600 miles weekly. Round trips are never more than 150 miles. I charge most nights to maximise Economy 7 usage.

If you were buying a new charging unit now, what would you buy and why?

Never bothered to compare. I think you should get what your home set up requires and take advice of the installer.

Tell us about your electricity provider and tariff. Would you recommend them?

NI power Economy 7 – good as any but then I wouldn’t change while it’s working.

Are you part of a charger-sharing scheme for those who don’t have their own charger?

No
