This is martinw’s second electric car, he’s owned the i3S from new and drives between 10,000-15,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 150 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose this electric car?

It is a perfect size for my requirements, relatively affordable and I like BMWs.

  • performance

It’s made from aluminium and carbon fibre.

 

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

BMW iX1 – my wife drives an X1 which we both love, so an iX1 seems a logical next step.

 

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

Pod Point – no issues in 12 months of ownership. Good reviews for customer support (which I have not needed).

Octopus Go Faster – low cost at night to charge EV and we also run things like the dishwasher during the low tariff.

I have not used any public chargers.
