BMW Owners Poll Oct 2025: Initial findings

Here are the first results from our BMW Owners Poll!

These findings are based on submissions received from 15th August to 28th September 2025.

The BMW Owners Poll was communicated to Electric Road’s database and social media audiences. The total submission base at the time of publishing was 321.

Which BMW do you own?

While still a relatively small respondent number, it is of little surprise that the 3 series is the most popular model owned, followed by the 4 series and then the X3. Having said all that, the SUVs do seem much less represented than we would have imagined. Great to see so many i3 owners respond, definitely a modern (EV) classic!

Overall Rating

Over 68% of BMW owners rate their car as ‘Excellent’, making a reasonably convincing case for all car buyers. If you add in those who rate their BMW as ‘Good’, this increases to 91% of BMW owners, pretty impressive.

What do you really like about your BMW?

‘Comfort & refinement’ just pips ‘Driving dynamics’ as the most popular reason why owners really like their BMW. Given respondents could choose as many reasons as they wanted to, we are quite surprised ‘Technology’ isn’t more popular. Perhaps this is a sign of the age of some of these BMW models.

What do you really dislike about your BMW?

Firstly, it’s very telling that there are much fewer responses to this question than the one above. ‘Fuel efficiency’ is the biggest bugbear with ‘Technology’ second. Like the Honda Owners Poll, we must further investigate why owners have selected ‘Other’. Is that the same answer for many or lots of different reasons?

Would you consider another BMW as your next vehicle?

82% say ‘Yes’, pretty resounding we think!
