This is Antonius’s first electric car, he’s owned the Nissan LEAF less than 1 year and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 70,000-80,000 miles and he achieves 125 miles from a full charge.

What are the standout technological features of the car?
Cruise control that matches speed with the vehicle in front, lane drift alarm, proximity alerts & 360° cameras for parking.

When cruise control is on, if you signal to change lane while going slower than your target speed, then you get an acceleration boost to get you to your desired speed.
What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?
KIA EV6 (or even EV9) to be a tow car for our caravan.

Good basic rate of electricity with Octopus, no special rate for charging available without a home charging unit which cost a minimum of £1,000.
What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?
Pod Point – there are a few free-to-use ones in my area.
Insurer – outline both positive & negative elements
esure – not sure what the positives and negatives are. They were the cheapest for us to insure with.
Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Nissan LEAF
No road tax, charging at home is 35p/kWh so a little cheaper than combustion engines. Considering tax and running costs so far, possible savings of £30-£40 each month.
