  • no rear wiper.

No faults

Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about your Polestar 2

  • Öhlins dampers are excellent
  • Brembro brakes are amazing
  • 476 BHP is more than I will ever need.

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

Batteries don’t last or EVs catch fire.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Next Polestar that replaces the 2.

Home charging unit

Pod Point 3 – great app but doesn’t work with Intelligent Octopus.

Electricity supplier & tariff

E.ON Next Drive – 7 hours at cheap rate but that’s dropping to 6 hours in a months time.

(published in September 2025).

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Tesla, Be.EV, Evolt & Arnold Clark are the best and fairest prices. I avoid GRIDSERVE, InstaVolt and Osprey in the daytime. IONITY are OK but too busy.

Insurance

Admiral – no negatives.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Polestar 2
