‘Mach-E’ took a test drive of a Mustang Mach-E Premium 91kWh AWD Extended Range.

‘Mach-E’ was contacted by Group 1 Ford, Newbury within 1-3 hours of making their initial enquiry via Electric Road and took their test drive on 25th February 2024.

Rate the electric car on its exterior

What did you like/dislike like about the exterior?

This car (SUV?) is a looker! Although I wasn’t a fan of the blue, the external styling and little touches made up for it in spades. This car demands respect and, as you approach it, you feel good! My family loved the panoramic roof too!

What did you like/dislike like about the interior?

Once inside and you switch the car on, again, there’s that smile! Loads of space and storage facilities. The screen is HUGE but I have to admit, I would have liked a little orientation towards the driver. Plenty of options and customisation and then there’s the Untamed mode! Really comfortable too.

What did you like/dislike about the tech features?

Some great hardware to play with and the software seems solid and reliable. I must admit I used Apple CarPlay for the music (and sat nav) and my girls also had a go with some of the more fun apps. I would have liked to try the Ford App too. Not this time though.

What did you like/dislike like about how it drove?

Overall, I was really impressed. It seemed to glide and just eat up the road. However, and this may just take some getting used to, a couple of us had some motion sickness afterwards. Perhaps the computer-controlled safety features? A little odd but I’m sure over time we’d get used to it.
