Skoda ENYAQ 2022 electric car owner review

Paul H drives a Škoda ENYAQ 2022 electric car.

This is Paul’s first electric car, he’s owned the Škoda ENYAQ from new and drives 10,000-15,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 280 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose this electric car?

There were a few factors, I have always had VWs, so wanted to stay in the VW group. When I test drove the ID.4 I found the build quality to be poor, I then test drove the Audi Q5 e-tron but the spec I wanted was around £60k. When I test drove the ENYAQ I knew it was the one: it was the right price, had the right spec and looked good.

  • build quality.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • Aftersales service
  • slow software updates
  • no dedicated climate control knobs.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

I have had intermittent faults with the driving assist system & the infotainment system crashes with the display going off. The car has been in twice to Skoda but still has the issues.

What are the standout tech features of the car?

I wouldn’t say any of them standout, most modern cars have them, especially EVs. I like the active cruise control that basically makes the car semi-autonomous.

It doesn’t have a frunk, even though it has the room for one.

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

I will probably stay with the VW group or may splash out and get a Audi Q4 e-tron. But the ENYAQ vRS has turned my head and I am in two minds if I should trade in now.
