Andrew drives a Vauxhall Corsa-e 2021 electric car.

This is Andrew’s first electric car, he’s owned the Corsa-e from new and drives between 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 170 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose this electric car?

I don’t need a luxury car/SUV nor can I afford one and the choice of smaller cars is limited. This met my requirements in terms of size and range for the 3/4 longer trips I make each year.

  • Infotainment system works well and is responsive
  • Navigation uses real-time maps and also links to Google Maps.

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

Megane E-Tech – have seen and heard good reports plus it’s a ground up EV and they have the experience behind them with the Zoe.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

Pod Point – part of a dealer package so I didn’t have much of choice. It works and hasn’t let me down although the timed charging was a bit hit and miss so I only now used the car’s deferred charging option.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

British Gas standard – not sure what else is out there and was with them pre the price cap changes. Will be reviewing to see if better deals are available.
