Why did you choose this car?
Honestly speaking, it’s a company car. I quite fancied the Polestar 2 (Volvo platform & quality) but it came off the car list. I wanted an EV made by a manufacturer with car building DNA, so that ruled out the Tesla and of all the SUV type EVs.  This was the one with the right mix of features, perceived quality and range.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • HUD (Head-up display)
  • Integrated natural speech sat nav and and ease of use
  • No silly trying to open the glovebox via an iPad screen type nonsense.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • No Frunk…all that wasted space under the Bonnet, don’t know what BMW was thinking there
  • Some of the really useful features like dynamically turning on front panoramic cameras automatically at a junction are hard to find if you don’t know to look
  • No Frunk.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
None so far, apart from my car being held up at the Port for several months due to battery module issue.

What are the standout tech features of the car?

  • HUD
  • Integrated car play
  • Voice assistant of your choice
  • Assisted driving
  • Automatic headlight
  • B-mode one pedal driving.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this car.
Reverse mode – set it if you are driving into a difficult to manoeuvre place and it records your journey and remembers it. Next morning the car will reverse along the same route. Great if you have a long windy drive with nowhere to turn around to drive forward.
