Why did you choose this car?
I had a Ford Fiesta previously and wanted something a similar size, fully electric and as affordable as possible with good mileage range.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?

  • Nippy around town
  • Cheap to run, including servicing
  • More environmentally friendly than a ICE car
  • 8 year warranty
  • It’s comfortable for long journeys as well as popping around town.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • The app can be a bit flaky sometimes.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
It’s surprisingly spacious and very comfortable.

What EV are you interested in next and why?
I’m not interested in another EV right now but if I was it would be to get more range per charge.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
BP Chargemaster installed by Renault as part of buying the car. It’s OK, I got it tethered and it works well, no issues with it in 18 months. I like the fact it’s lockable, so it can’t be used by anyone but me (or anyone I unlock it for!).

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go – a specific tariff designed for EV owners. Gives a reduced electricity price between 00:30-04:30, which is useful. I set my car to charge only during those specific times via the Renault app.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
I haven’t used many. The ones run by Northumberland council are good, free to use and rapid chargers available too.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Bymiles.co.uk – I don’t do long distances often, so it’s cheaper for me to pay for my car’s cover with 0 miles and then pay per mile for what I drive.
