Why did you choose this car?
It is a great car to drive and just the right size to suit my lifestyle. I have previously owned hot hatches and had never considered an EV until I took a test drive. The car just blew me away and 6 years on from my first i3 I am still enthralled with both the driving and ownership experience.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?

  • Superb interior
  • Fun to drive
  • Quiet, refined and comfortable.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • Only two rear seats
  • Rear doors are a comprise
  • Electric only range poor by today’s standards.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
The tiny turning circle – it can easily turn 180 degrees within the width of a normal road.

What EV are you interested in next and why?
Nothing else quite appeals as much at the moment. Perhaps the Cupra Born or the small hatchback Tesla when they come along.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Rolec – only choice when I bought my first car and innards had to be replaced under warranty. Been reliable since but plenty more choice now.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go Faster.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Instavolt, Osprey, Gridserve and Pod Point. Easy to use, generally reliable and at convenient locations. Electric Highway because of their location at MSAs, Instavolt and Osprey for their reliability and contactless payment & Pod Point (AC chargers) for destination charging.
