Tesla Model S 2019 electric car owner review

Justin drives a Tesla Model S 100D 2019.

This is Justin’s third electric car, he’s owned the Model S 1-2 years and drives under 5,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 30,000-40,000 miles.

Why did you choose the Tesla Model 3?

Had Tesla before and the first is usually the best.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car

The most amazing thing is how it drives. I think anyone from an ICE car that had a drive in this would be hooked. I can’t ever imagine going back and at the moment, I can’t see a better EV that I would trade for. I think given its age of design, all the faults are known and have been dealt with. I can’t say that for other brands just yet, however expensive they are.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Maybe BMW or Porsche because of their exterior design and ride quality. However, their reliability needs to settle down a bit before I think of changing.

Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements

Ohme Pro – when it works, it’s great! At the moment I am having problems when away from the car for anytime but their help response is good. It is a complicated system and tends to fight with the car. Hopefully, I will eventually get to grips with it.

Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements

We are on OVO ‘Charge Anytime’ – only just switched but looks OK so far. However, it’s not easy to see savings on the bill, it could be more transparent.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Tesla!

Insurer – outline both positive & negative elements

Admiral this year but insurance premiums are a joke since Brexit. My car in Spain went up by €20, my Tesla in the UK went up by a £1,000!
