Mike Simpkins drives a KIA Niro EV 4 64.8kWh 2022.
This is Mike’s second electric car, he’s owned the KIA Niro EV less than 1 year and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 250 miles from a full charge.
Why did you choose the KIA Niro EV?
I chose the Kia Niro 4 EV as it’s all the EV you will need with excellent efficiency and plenty of tech on board. It may not be the biggest EV out there but has plenty of room for your average family. The warranty is the best in the business and with it’s proven track record, the Kia is a dependable and reliable to boot. You shouldn’t buy an EV solely because it has it’s own charger infrastructure because if we did it would be a boring place to be. The infrastructure will get better in time.
Anyway, I like the memory seats with lumbar support and the seats are comfortable and KIA is now implementing OTA and a frunk into the mix. Tesla owners will be saying ‘we have had this for a long time’ but the one thing you haven’t got is low insurance premiums and the customer care isn’t on par with KIA. I like Tesla but the styling isn’t the best and nor is the fact you have to pay for the ICE after a year. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are getting better each year also.
