Peter drives a KIA Niro EV 64kWh 2022.

This is Peter’s second electric car, he’s owned the Niro EV from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 250 miles from a full charge.

  • Safety sensors and state of battery details very clear
  • ‘heads up’ screen is a great driver safety feature.

‘Heads up’ feature that projects speed, speed limit and next change of direction from sat-nav info onto the windscreen.

None, only had this one for 3 months.

The Pod Point charger works well with the Pod Point app.

 

Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements 

E.ON with a Flexi tariff that allows overnight off-peak charging. No fixed tariff deals available due to energy crisis.

 

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Pod Point and Gridserve, all good experiences.

Just good value and an easy exchange from a petrol car to EV.

 

Please itemise where you’re saving money owning & running a KIA Niro EV

Money saved through no road tax at present & savings on fuel. Monitored the first 2,000 miles using off-peak electricity at home and the total cost was £65.
