Stopped working randomly (red light) but a phone call to technical support and they reset everything (likely an electric surge).
Tell us about your home charging routine
I charge overnight (Octopus Go cheap rate) if I go below 90% battery which is about 3-4 times per week. Daily mileage is only around 20 miles with some long weekend journeys (75 miles). I charge at a free point or plug the granny charger in for a few hours at family homes to top-up for the return journey.
If you were buying a new charging unit now, what would you buy and why?
Probably the same. It’s been reliable with regular use, looks good & I feel happy that they will support any issues in the future.
Tell us about your electricity provider and tariff. Would you recommend them?
Octopus Go – yes, I’d recommend as overnight is the easiest time to charge for most people and home charging is cheaper than public charging. It’s more convenient to plug in when you arrive home than to faff around with different apps and public chargers.
Are you part of a charger-sharing scheme for those who don’t have their own charger?
No
