Mark drives a Hyundai IONIQ 5 LR Ultimate 2022 electric car.

This is Mark’s first electric car, he’s owned the IONIQ 5 from new and drives 15,000-20,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 270 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose this electric car?

The look, the range, the comfort, space and features including V2L, reclining seats and tech.

The uniqueness of it.

There’s not much:

 

  • the rear seatbelt rattle when they’re not replaced properly.
  • the buzzes and beeps can be a bit wearing.

 

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No faults so far.

 

What are the standout tech features of the car?

V2L, autonomous features like self driving, speed recognition & HUD (head-up display).

You are able to move it forwards and backwards without being in the car. You can either preheat the car or cool it down in advance of you getting in.

 

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

At the moment it would be the next version of what I’ve got because it’s ideal.

 

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

I don’t have one at the moment.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

Octopus standard rate – but hope to go onto special EV tariff when l get a home charger installed. I would recommend them because of their commitment to renewables.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

I wouldn’t recommend any at the moment because of the paucity of rapid chargers in my area but l do use bp pulse and haven’t had too many problems with them.

LV – I have no opinion of them.
