Why did you choose the I-PACE?

Had one of the first I-PACE Ss, loved it but wanted to upgrade to the higher spec HSE.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car.

  • An absolute dream to drive
  • superb performance
  • fantastic handling
  • supremely comfortable.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car.

  • A little bit bigger than I would like.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

None, fault free.

What are the standout tech features of your car?

Matrix headlights are fantastic, range predicter (GOM) is generally very accurate and the remote app is good.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this I-PACE.

Accurately predicts your destination based on past usage. Acceleration is phenomenal, especially for such a large heavy car. Matrix headlights are amazing, automatically dipping just the parts of the beam that affect oncoming cars whilst keeping the rest at full beam so you can still see the verges clearly.

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

Another I-PACE, by far the best car I have owned in over 40 years!

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

A basic Rolec WallPod which does exactly what we need. Simple plug in and charge but I think the rules have changed and you have to go for a smart unit these days?

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
