Why did you choose this car?
Looks and practicality. I was looking for something that was more mainstream than specifically made for the EV market. BMW offers the best of both. As a previous owner of an X3 it just made sense to switch to the electric version.

No faults.


What are the standout tech features of the car?
Self-drive functionality.

You can pre-heat the car in the winter via a timer. This has been a blessing with the frost. It’s nice to be able to just get in and drive. You can cool it in the summer in the same way.

What car are you interested in next and why?
If I were buying now I’d go for the BMW i4 M50. However, I’m not thinking about the next car yet as I’m 6 weeks into owning this EV and will decide in around 3 years.


What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Wallbox pulsar – I wouldn’t recommend it. It does what it should but I’ve had issues with it. It doesn’t look the best either.

Octopus Go – highly recommend. It’s designed perfectly for the EV market.

IONITY and bp pulse. Good reliable, fast chargers.
