  • Range

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • Map updates have to be paid for – these are free on similarly spec’d cars at this price
  • Service costs are high for what they actually do
  • Only just about fits into my garage!

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
It’s efficiency is greater than what is specified.

What EV are you interested in next and why?
Maybe a slightly smaller version of my Kia with 800v charging and possibly a solid state battery.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Pod Point 7.2kW home charger – I would recommend it as I have had zero problems with it in nearly 2½ years.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go Faster – highly recommended. This tariff gives 5 hours charging at the cheap rate of 5.5p/kWh. It also has different time slots during the evening from 20:30 to 03:30. Also has a three hour time slot at 4.5p/kWh and a 4 hour time slot at 5p/kWh.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Instavolt, Osprey, Pod Point and the new Gridserve/Electric Highway chargers. Contactless payment or app and always seem to work.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Direct Line – I would recommend to others as they were not only the least expensive but they also include cable theft cover and battery damage cover in their policy for EVs.
