Why did you choose the BMW i3?
I wanted an EV with some history to ensure it was reliable.

 

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?

  •  0-60 mph is fun
  • Layout and controls are excellent
  • Precondition of battery for long journeys is great.

 

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • Leaky ‘frunk’ had to fit aftermarket kit to stop
  • Back doors look nice but are difficult to get in and out on a single driveway
  • DC charging is slow.

 

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
Programmable buttons on the key fob are a great feature.

 

What EV are you interested in next and why?
Honda e – as I like the look of the interior.

eo mini pro – yes it’s a fantastic unit and very small.

 

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
No tariffs on our current supplier.

 

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Pod Point & Charge Car – need to investigate more as both disappointed me with very slow-fast charging.

 

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Aviva – they are OK but as I was out of the UK for 10 years so I started without a no claims bonus all over again.
