Positives

  • Quiet
  • Quick
  • Quirky.

Negatives

  • Limited range
  • Difficult for passengers to get in the back
  • Not good on potholed roads.

Tell us something surprising about this car
Bigger on the inside than you expect from the outside, as there’s no engine at the front.

What EV are you interested in next and why?
Not sure – Tesla, Ford Mustang, VW I.D 3, VW I.D 4 – more range.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
zappi – I’d recommend it as it allows for prioritising charge from wind/solar over grid.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
EDF normal tariff. Can’t really recommend them, they’ve been totally uninterested in moving us to an EV tariff despite us asking loads of times so we’ll probably change to a different supplier but have a problem because they all seem to need a smart meter which we can’t get (as we have no mobile signal here).

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
No specific network – there are no public charge points near where we live! There are (private) points at a supermarket about 15 miles away and a garden centre 25 miles away. There are ‘community’ points in the public car parks in the two major cities down here, both roughly 35 miles away.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?

Admiral – they offered the best price for our two cars.
