Leapmotor C10 2025 Owner Review

Leapmotor C10 2025 Owner Review

Neil Allison drives a Leapmotor C10 69.9kWh, 2025, standard spec.

This is Neil’s third electric car, he’s owned the C10 less than 1 year and drives 20,000-30,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and he achieves 240 miles range from an 80% charge.

Why did you choose the Leapmotor C10?

  • Utterly exceptional value
  • very high level of standard equipment
  • very good build quality for the price.

Positives

A good example of why Western legacy manufacturers should be worried. Put simply, it’s a well-made, smooth and refined cruiser with lots of power on tap. Loaded with tech and it’s been faultless so far. The price point is amazing.

Negatives

Nothing really. Some people moan about the bongs and/or turning some aspects of the ADAS off on each journey, but it really only takes seconds.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Yes, I get exactly the same full charge each time regardless of the ambient temperature.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No, fault-free so far.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

Excellent satnav, heated and ventilated seats, amazing sound system, lots of inbuilt apps such as Spotify and YouTube. Some fun features too such as nap mode. Literally, there are so many great features.

Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about your C10

Nap mode allows you to set a timer for a little sleep, then reclines your seat and shuts the sunroof blind. It then displays relaxing scenes on both screens and plays a soft soundtrack such as rain falling in a forest. Very good when charging!

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

Catching fire, built by slaves…

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Too soon to say, but probably another Leapmotor.

Home charging unit

Indra Smart Pro

Electricity supplier & tariff

ScottishPower – cheap at weekends.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Gridserve and InstaVolt for reliability.

Insurance

Stellantis Subscription Car Insurance – I can stop at any time if something cheaper comes along.
