Tesla Model 3 2024 Owner Review

Tesla Model 3 Single Motor 2024 Owner Review

Dai D drives a Tesla Model 3 Single Motor 57kWh 2024, standard specification.

This is Dai’s first electric car, he’s owned his Tesla Model 3 1-2 years and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 10,000-20,000 miles and he achieves 250 miles range from an 80% charge.

Why did you choose the Tesla Model 3?

  • I chose the Tesla Model 3 after the Highland revisions – better ride quality and build quality
  • Tesla Superchargers
  • Tesla Powerwall (as own BMW 330e PHEV) and solar panels.

Positives

  • It’s quiet (double-glazed)
  • relaxing
  • excellent vision through windscreen
  • very comfortable.

Negatives

  • Interior quality is not German standard
  • no indicator stalks
  • too many controls on the screen, which are distracting when driving.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Yes

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No issues.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

With LFP (lithium ferrophosphate) battery can charge to 100%.

Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about your Tesla Model 3

  • Warming up facility off app
  • brilliant Tesla App on iPhone
  • software updates and improvements.

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

Batteries will deteriorate quickly.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Eager to see the new Neue Klasse BMW 3 series. I’ve had many BMWs over the years and I’m a big fan but wasn’t willing to pay the money for the ‘compromised’ i4 (in my opinion).

Home charging unit

Vestel EVC04

Electricity supplier & tariff

Octopus EV tariff

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

I mainly use Tesla Superchargers.

Insurance

Liverpool Victoria
