StevePot43 drove from Santander, Spain to Andalusia in his Kia EV6 GT electric car.
Introducing your road trip
By ferry to Santander then (by land) to Andalusia and back going via Zaragoza on the way down. Slept in car as chargers failed in Logrono, either due to lack of maintenance or payment cards failed. Many chargers were rather hard to find. It’s disgraceful and I could not recommend taking a wholly electric car to Spain. On the way back charged in Jaen (Granada two failures), just north of Valdepenas, IONITY best yet. Then west side of Madrid and then Valladolid. Two hotel stops then a stay in Santander. Charger opposite hotel but could not get it to work but had enough juice to get to Portsmouth. No problem there.
Planning & preparation
Picked chargers we had used before or those with good reviews where available and where needed local knowledge. Lots of help from people but taken down by power maintenance and over complex payment system.

Did you encounter any great driving roads on your road trip? If so, where were they and why were they great?
Lots of good motoring in Spain.
The Kia EV6 GT
Car fine but caught out by poor chargers in Spain and at one point a huge headwind.
Road trip conclusion
We enjoyed the holiday and the car worked fine but the unreliability of chargers cast a bit of a shadow over some of it.
