Tell us about your home charging routine.
I’ve done 2,000 miles since buying my Kia e-Niro 2 months ago. I charge at home about twice a week, usually running down to about 30 to 40% before charging back up to 100 % in 2 goes so as to take advantage of the 4 hour cheap overnight rate. Currently on Octopus Go at 5p per kWh which will go up later in the year to 7.5p. Occasionally charge at rapid chargers when on a long journey of say, 200 miles plus.

If you were buying a new charging unit now, what would you buy and why?
The same, happy with my zappi. It does exactly what I need without having to constantly change settings.

Tell us about your electricity provider and tariff. Would you recommend them?
I’m on Octopus Go which is an EV rate at 5p per kWh off peak/15p peak currently fixed until end August. It will almost certainly go up to at least 7.5p off peak/30p peak then. That works out at about £12 per month at the moment. Definitely recommend Octopus as they are cheap with innovative tariffs and are doing a lot in the renewable space.

Are you part of a charger-sharing scheme for those who don’t have their own charger?
No.
