Tesla Model 3 2021 electric car owner review

Michael drives a Tesla Model 3 RWD 2021.

This is Michael’s first electric car, he’s owned the Tesla Model 3 from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 20,000-30,000 miles and he achieves 270 miles from a full charge.

 

Why did you choose the Tesla Model 3?

The environment and when I took a Model 3 for a test drive I thought it the best car I had ever driven.

 

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car

  • Much cheaper to run
  • Tesla Supercharger network makes long distance travel easy and affordable
  • fun to drive and much less
  • servicing required.

 

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • Rip off charging networks.

 

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

It seems about the same, if the battery has lost range it’s minuscule.

 

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

Charger socket on the car and front suspension arms. Both were sorted out quickly by Tesla.

 

What are the standout technological features of the car?

The technology i.e. route planning tells you where you need to stop to top-up the battery and the pre conditioning of the battery for faster charging.

On the Tesla if you’re stuck in the car for an extended time you can watch Netflix or YouTube.

 

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

They catch fire.

 

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Another Tesla, if it works don’t change it!

 

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Mainly Tesla Superchargers and Pod Point.
