Renault Zoe 2022 electric car owner review

‘Great small EV’ drives a Renault Zoe 50kWh 2022.

This is Great small EV’s first electric car, they’ve owned the Renault Zoe from new and drive 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and they achieve 240 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Renault Zoe?

Of all the smaller cars this has by some distance the best range. It is European not Chinese. It has lots of room in the front and a good capacity boot for a small car. It looks like it’s expensive but we got an excellent deal from the Renault dealer Smiths in Peterborough which no one else could get close to.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car

  • Range – it’s a GT but no sign it is, a bit of a wolf in sheep’s clothing
  • maximum speed control is useful.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • The app isn’t very good
  • the design of the doors and boot mean there are pointy bits and as a rather clumsy person, I keep catching myself on them
  • for a small car it is ridiculously expensive.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

Had a problem with the car’s infotainment system taking to the app but this has now been solved.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

I love the regenerative braking and maximum speed limit control.

None, the depreciation kills any savings stone dead but the day-to-day running costs are cheaper.
