EPIC’s first electric car was a Jaguar I-PACE SE EV400.

Why did you buy the I-PACE?

I have owned 9 Jaguars and it was natural to look at the I-PACE and after test driving one the deal was done.

What got you into an electric car in the first place?

Conscious of air emissions and rising fuel costs, I started to think about it but the test drive of the car itself really got me.

Initially, what did you find most confusing about electric car ownership and how did you solve that?

Initially it was getting use to everything being electric and settings in different screens and not being distracted from the road ahead.

What sources of information helped you e.g. people, groups, websites etc?

Simon at Jaguar Hatfields, Shrewsbury who found me my last 3 Jaguars was my first port of call and that led to owning it.

What are your top 3 pieces of advice for those people considering their first electric car?

With recharging stations in their infancy, your driving distances have to be a consideration. If you have to recharge to complete a journey allow time for ‘out of use’ chargers or somebody already using one.
