This is Catherine’s first electric car, she’s owned the 500e from new and drives under 5,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and she achieves 160 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose this electric car?

The small size means it fits on my very small drive. The range is excellent so I can go to London with just one stop on the way to recharge. The look of it also, it’s really eye-catching. It’s an EV that isn’t simply a petrol car with batteries in it, it was designed from the ground up as an EV so feels very well thought out and quite high-end for such a small car.

• there is the odd glitch with the app meaning I don’t get Kiri coins but tbh that’s not about the car but more about FIAT.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

A few glitches where the warning for the audio system says it’s faulty. It just gets reset & then it’s fine. The Kiri coins have never worked and FIAT don’t seem to be able to sort out an easy fix.

The car is 6cm wider & longer than the old 500 so has more space. It feels well put together & it tells you when you’re approaching road works whether you have the sat nav on or not!

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

I would have another 500e purely because of the size, cost & range.

I have a Wallbox.

I use Good Energy because they use renewables, not the cheapest though.

I used Osprey & InstaVolt as they seem to be the most reliable. However, I also use Be.EV which is a local point at a nearby shopping centre.
