Doug drives a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range + 2021 electric car.

This is Doug’s first electric car, he’s owned the Tesla Model 3 under 1 year and drives between 15,000-20,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and he achieves 180 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Tesla Model 3?

The best designed car overall and I don’t need to rely on the pubic charging network.

 

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car.

I cannot think of anything that irritates me about this car.

No.

 

What are the standout tech features of your Tesla Model 3?

Over the air software updates, the sat nav is excellent and sound system is superb.

Only had this one for 6 months and not thinking of our next car yet.

 

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

easee – it’s un-tethered, fits in the space we had available and is unobtrusive.

Octopus Go – we have been with Octopus for about 3 years before we got our EV. They are easy to deal with, very efficient and fair. The change to the Go tariff was so easy.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

Only used Tesla so far. I would use Gridserve, Instavolt and ChargePlace Scotland too.
