Why did you choose the Polestar 2?

I wanted a premium electric car. The Polestar matched my aspirations. I wanted something different to the run of the mill electric cars. The Polestar ticked all of my boxes.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car.

  • The drive feels so confident
  • It’s quick
  • A solid quality car all round.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car.

  • The radio is still hit and miss even though there has been some enhancements
  • The software is developing on the fly as such
  • Speed sign recognition is flaky and doesn’t seem to be getting fixed very quickly.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

  • A rattling seat belt which was replaced
  • Speed sign recognition is an ongoing software problem
  • TCAM reset required occasionally to get connectivity fixed but generally this can be done by yourself.

What are the standout tech features of your Polestar 2?

The car safety systems are great. Blind spot coverage and anti-collision detection is great. The software system is good with Google integrated, being able to control things like steering wheel heater with a command of ‘hey Google!’, is great. Plus, the wealth of whatever Google can answer by asking it a question on the move. Anything from the weather to sat nav to theoretically switching the lights on in your home.
