What got you into an electric car in the first place?
Tesla many years ago, it then got us onto all others been made before we eventually made the jump to go full electric.
Initially, what did you find most confusing about electric car ownership and how did you solve that?
We had followed them (Tesla) for that many years and watched so many videos that in all honesty we didn’t find anything difficult at all.
What sources of information helped you e.g. people, groups, websites etc?
YouTube is a great help and so are a lot of these pages now set up and event days that get organised. Fully Charged is a good one and so was ‘EVs in the Park’.
What events would you recommend attending to learn more about electric cars?
Definitely Fully Charged and any local events you can make it to also.
What needs to happen to get more people driving an electric car?
Public charging I’m afraid and more options for those that don’t have off road parking. More hubs and make all petrol stations have chargers too, electric cars are a form of fuel so they need all fuel types.
Who is your electric car hero/guru and why?
Elon Musk – he’s completely changed the world of electric cars and all competitors are looking what he does.
What are your top 3 pieces of advice for those people considering their first electric car?
Do your research, test as many cars as you can before you make a choice and look where chargers are. Maybe check how you use them as there are so many new owners that don’t know how to use chargers, which results in other electric car users not been able to charge or having long waits to use a charger.
