Why did you choose this car?
I had test driven the first generation LEAF many years ago and fell in love with it right away. So much excellent tech and drives really nicely. I have wanted an EV for ages! Recently, I was finally able to get a nice used one and I’m completely in love with it!

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
When you turn off Eco mode it drives like a racing car and the road handling is incredible! Also, the steering lock is incredible, you can do a U turn practically anywhere!

What car are you interested in next and why?
LEAF again but not for some time.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I don’t have a home charger.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I’m with Octopus, I hear they do special deals for home charging but I don’t have one. However, Octopus is excellent and they do have a thing with ‘Electric Juice’ where I can use a charger and have it billed to my home energy bill; great for those who don’t have home chargers.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
I mostly use Chargemaster aka bp pulse and Pod Point. Both work well, occasionally the chargers play up depending upon where I am but most of the time I can use my nearest bp pulse charger without any trouble.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Admiral – reasonable price.
