Why did you choose this car?
At the time was very cheap, bought new £13500. Also fuel, road tax and cheaper insurance along with helping to a sustainable world.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?

  • Quiet
  • Smooth
  • Agile
  • Tank always full when leaving home.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • Winter range is less
  • Warning of ‘electrical fault’ which means heating, aircon and cruise don’t work.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
How well it has stood up to daily use, still on original brake disc and pads, paint is still great, never a cold car in the morning, pre heating or cooling.

What EV are you interested in next and why?
Zoe, Model 3, IONIQ 5, ID.3 and many more. They all have pros and cons but as vehicles they have no equal from ICE cars.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Pod point, was free with car. All home chargers are great some are smart, ours is not but Zoe takes care of the Octopus Go cheap tariff using the onboard charging schedule.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go – 4 hrs at 5p kwh, 12,000 miles costing £150 at an average 4 miles per kwh. 😉

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Mainly Polar with subscription but that’s getting binned after their recent price increases. Home charging is always cheaper but look around for the best prices just like you did with ICE fuel prices when charging away from home.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Admiral multicar – works for us but we always check yearly, one phone call and currently they always match our best quotes from other insurers.
