Kia EV3 Air 2025 Owner Review

Barbara B drives a Kia EV3 Air Long Range 78kWh 2025, standard specification.

This is Barbara’s second EV and she’s owned the Kia EV3 Air between 1-2 years. She drives 10,000-15,000 miles annually and the current mileage of the car is between 15,000-20,000 miles. She achieves 380 miles range from an 80% charge.

Why did you choose the Kia EV3?

I wanted a larger car (my previous EV was a Vauxhall Corsa), and I wanted more range.

Positives

The range is excellent, during the summer I am getting between 430-440 miles. The EV3 is also comfortable and easy to drive.

Negatives

I cannot think of any particular downsides or frustrations. The voice control speaking when my husband is talking to me, maybe.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

When I first charged my car I got an average of 390 miles on a charge. I now get between 420-440!

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No issues.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

Being able to switch on the air con or heating via the app, this is very useful.

Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about your Kia EV3

Being able to charge my car using solar power at home. Basically, the cost of charging the car in the summer is £0 and very little during the winter, too.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

I think I would stick with the Kia EV3, but possibly a higher spec.

Electricity supplier & tariff

I only charge my car during daylight hours as we have a solar array. We are on an old tariff which means we get paid for electricity we produce, but the electricity company has no idea how much we use.
