Kia EV3 Air 2025 Owner Review

Kia EV3 Air 2025 Owner Review

Nigel drives a Kia EV3 Air Long Range 78kWh 2025, standard specification.

This is Nigel’s second EV and he’s owned the EV3 between 1-2 years. He drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually and the current mileage of the car is between 10,000-15,000 miles. He achieves 380 miles range from an 80% charge.

Why did you choose the Kia EV3?

Liked the look and the spec of the EV3. For me, the Air version was the best. I didn’t like the ironing board, the piano black arches or the tinted rear windows of the other versions.

Positives

Auto plus regen is brilliant. The car can coast almost forever which does wonders for the consumption. I regulary get over 5 miles per kWh.

Negatives

None that are significant.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Yes

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

None

What are the standout technological features of the car?

Auto plus regen, low power consumption.

Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about your EV3

Auto plus regen.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Kia EV2 – if only the range matched that of my EV3.

Electricity supplier & tariff

Intelligent Octopus Go

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?

I rarely use public charging now but in my previous EV I did; sometimes chargers would work or they’d work for a minute then stop. Public charging prices are way too high. I thought 40p per kWh was OK when I had my previous car but there is no justification for charging being > 10 x the cost of doing it at home.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Kia EV3

‘Fuel’ costs are way less, a journey that would have cost £30 now costs about £4. Servicing is a bit cheaper too.
