Kia EV3 Air 2025 Owner Review

Kay drives a KIA EV3 Air Long Range 78kWh 2025, standard spec.

This is Kay’s second electric car, she’s owned the EV3 less than a year and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and she achieves 320 miles range from an 80% charge.

Why did you choose the Kia EV3?

Range and also loved it when we test drove it. It is comfortable, a dream to drive and so efficient.

Positives

It is a relaxing car to drive, and even though it is the base model, it has all the safety features needed.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Yes and maybe even better.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

What are the standout technological features of the car?

The safety features e.g. lane keep assist, and the beep to notify change of speed limit are particularly useful. Ease of use of the infotainment screen and the reversing camera are also excellent.

Just such a relaxing and comfortable place to be.

What’s the biggest or funniest myth you’ve heard about EVs?

They will damage your driveway as they are so heavy!!

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Since having the EV3 I’ve stopped looking and haven’t considered anything else so far.

Ohme Pro – it’s brilliant, easy to use, and I programme the charger rather than the car.

Do you use public charging networks?

Insurance

Churchill – it seems to be fine. I always shop around for insurance when renewal time comes around and don’t always stick with the same company.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Kia EV3

Being able to charge at home is a huge saving. We are retired so not commuting daily but the reduction in cost is hugely satisfying. Road tax is the same as insurance.
