Why did you choose the Mustang Mach-E?
Love the speed & power plus the look. Coming from a Volvo the build quality isn’t quite as good but fell in love with it at the test drive. Bought it an hour later!
Positives
- Drive & responsiveness
- Tech & specification (love a toy)
- Looks lovely – some EVs are bland & boring (Volvo, Polestar, Tesla), some look a bit weird IMHO (KIA EV6, IONIQ), this one was just right.
Negatives
- Disastrous app – even the mega-flaky Volvo one was better
- Feels a bit flimsy in places
- Tech/software sometimes has a mind of its own.
Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
Minor glitches which fix themselves, nothing major.
What are the standout tech features of your Mustang Mach-E?
Nothing is really stand out individually but it is a great combination/package.

What electric car are you interested in next and why?
Sticking with what I’ve got for now.
Home charging unit
Project EV unit (non-tethered) from ChargedEV. Perfectly serviceable and no problems so far. Not all the app features seem to work but we just come home & plug in, so we’re not looking for complex schedules, etc.

Home electricity supplier & tariff
OVO Energy fixed term eco tariff – they’ve been fine for us so happily recommend them to others.

What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?
Not used too many so far (can’t remember those we have), they all seem much of a muchness.
List your top 3 favourite public charging networks (in order of preference)
No preference, whatever is closest or working.
Insurance
I’m afraid you’d have to ask the boss (wife). We tend to shop around so no major loyalty to one or another.
